Thumbs Up! - Anna Sun

Hi. I'm a film critic from Vancouver, British Columbia Canada, considered to be the number one city in the world and third largest film making centre in North America behind only Los Angeles and New York.

Currently my reviews appear in a number of multicultural newspapers that go across B.C. and into the Pacific Northwest of the U.S. as well as across Canada. Among the papers I write in are The Indo Canadian Voice, The Link, Philippine New, Philippine Journal, Conacto Directo, False Creek News, The Fraser, Farhang, Fiji Times, Eurasian News. I also host a regular bi-weekly radio station on CITR FM 101.9.

When not working in the past I hosted a number of community television series in Vancouver and Richmond as well as Chilliwack. Besides reviewing films I also have had the opportunity in the past to do a show called Canadian Collectors and Hollywood North along with Movie World. Canadian Collectors saw me host, interview and write a series of programs where I interviewed local collectors. For Hollywood North I wrote, hosted and produced a series and helped edit it. Among the guest I had on the Hollywood North series were Bob Hope, the Mayor and Premieres of British Columbia/Vancouver, Michael Tucker, Patrick Duffy, John Hillerman, Jill Eickenberry and a few others. In print I have interviewed in person Leslie Nielson. Today I prefer going to movies and writing about them. Also, I do reviews of Live Theatre. And not that it matters but I have two hobbies and actually work in the horse racing industry. My only connection to Hollywood is a friendship with Adam Sandler's producer, a man who saved another person's marriage while on set. I was his intern.
